Trapped Between
an installation by Ricardo Rodriguez

Trapped Between uses the verisimilitude of photography as a catalyst to explore the relationship between reality and its representation in an unconventional approach. This exhibit expands the definition of the medium, and blurs the line between photography and sculpture. It’s a personal reflection of Rodriguez own reality, and how he feels trapped between two cultures. This work invites a dialog about how reality is perceived and how we construct it.

Ricardo Rodríguez was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His work has been recognized in his native Puerto Rico, as well as in the United States. Recently his work became part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach California.
