First Friday At Bell Arts Factory, June 2nd 2017
Make sure to have Bell Arts Factory on your list of stops this First Friday, as we have a lot of special exhibits planned. If you’re not familiar with Bell Arts Factory, we are home to over thirty artists’ studios, most of which open up for every First Friday to exhibit their new work, sell their wares, and even offer live art demonstration.
Art For Paws – The Janet Addison Community Room
For June 2nd, 2017, Bell Arts Factory has some special exhibits planned. In our Community Room, we will have a collaborative exhibit with the Ventura County Humane Society. We’re calling it Art For Paws and it’s an art and animals event benefiting both Bell Arts Factory and The Humane Society of Ventura County. The exhibit is curated by Bell Arts Factory Artist and the Humane Educator of the Humane Society of Ventura County, Dawn Reily. The event will feature an art show of local artists work; Meet greet and photo opportunities with some of the Education Animals for the HSVC; a Buy-it-Now Auction benefiting the Humane Society of Ventura County.
Desde La Madre Tierra/From Mother Earth – The Tool Room Gallery
Local women artists collaborating on an exclusively ceramic show that will bring to you functional and sculptural creations inspired by Mother Earth. Taking place in our Tool Room Gallery, this exhibit is curated by Anna Bermudez and Maribel Hernandez. It will feature the work of Jacqueline Biaggi, Dawne J Fowkes Cushing, Robyn Dalbey, Maribel Hernandez, Patti Keller, Sara Beckton León, Megan Petree, and Ann White. The artists have gracious agreed to donate a portion of their sales from the evening to the Youth Art Program at Bell Arts Factory.
Seaglass Exhibit – Youth Art Program
Fresh off of their success with their Super Bloom Exhibit, the participants of our the Bell Arts Factory Youth Art Program have put together a special sea glass exhibit that will be on display in the lobby of Bell Arts Factory. This has been put together under the direction of Michele Foster. The Bell Arts Factory Youth Art Program offers free art classes after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and on Saturdays.
Fiber Art Exhibit -Vita Art Center
Vita Art Center is excited to exhibit the work of 4 exceptional contemporary fiber artists each showing a unique use of material, form and technique. Fiber art is defined as fine art which consists of materials that are natural or synthetic fiber and other components. It focuses on the materials and on the manual labor on the part of the artist as part of the works’ significance, and prioritizes aesthetic value over utility. Exhibiting Artists: Carol Shaw-Sutton, Julia Ford, Tina Linville and Wendy Osher. Exhibit Dates: June 2 thru 30 from 6-9 p.m.

For First Friday, Bell Arts Factory is open from 6 pm until 9 pm. We are located at 432 N. Ventura Ave, Ventura CA 93001. All events and exhibits are open to the public and free of charge.
