For this First Friday July 7th, 2017 Bell Arts Factory is once again a ‘must see’ stop as you tour all the wonderful arts locations on Ventura’s Westside. Located at 432 N. Ventura Ave., BAF is home to over 30 artist studios, most of whom will open their doors to show off some of their recent works.
Bell Arts Factory artists represent a wide variety of mediums- jewelry makers, potters, painters, seamstress, drawers, and sketchers just to name a few. We’ll also feature an eclectic assortment of vendors in our main hallway and patio area, with products ranging from homemade soaps, to vintage clothing, to coffee and even fudge!
In our “satellite galleries” we also have two exhibits. Vita Art Center presents the Abstract Art Exhibit, which presents the work of four regional abstract artists. Each artist uses a visual language of shape, form, color and line to create a composition with a degree of independence from visual references in the world. The exhibiting artists are Scott Gordon, Elana Kundell, Mary Neville, and Linda Saccoccio. Our Tool Room Gallery will be hosting Avenida De Los Arboles by Brent Hanson. It is a virtual stroll along Ventura Avenue, viewing the newest additions to the landscape. If you like Hanson’s large scale arboreal works, you’ll love their smaller cousins. All NEW work!
We also have a few new tenants this month,John Moseley (Studio #80) and Nancy Pedersen (Studio #37/39) so make sure to check them out and welcome them to Bell Arts!
First Fridays are always free, and make a great outing for the family. The event officially goes from 6 – 9 PM, with some studios opening earlier.
