Exhibitions – Bike Love

Pop Up Exhibit at the Museum and Bell Arts Factory

The Museum of Ventura County and Bell Arts Factory join forces in presenting one of the largest exhibits of bicycle-inspired art, “pimped out” bikes, photography and bike memorials in Ventura County.  Bike Love is the brainchild of Danny Gamboa, a Mexican American filmmaker with a focus on the arts and social change documentaries.  This exhibit will take you on an emotional ride from light and whimsical to serious and heart wrenching.  Gamboa, along with artists and bike enthusiasts share poetry, music and film during this evening celebration of “all things bicycle”.

Opening Night is May 2 in conjunction with Free First Fridays.  Museum hours on May 2 are 5-8pm, Bell Arts Factory 6-9pm.  A Free Shuttle will be available to transport guests from the Museum to Bell Arts Factory.  A perfect night for the whole family with Live Music and delicious dinner from Underground Gourmet Food Truck.

The Museum’s portion of this exhibit will run through June 1st with rotating “pimped out” bikes every week.  Bike Love in the Museum’s Tool Room Gallery @ Bell Arts Factory will also run through June 1st.

Bell Arts Factory’s portion of the exhibit in the community room will run through May 17th.
