Carolynn Bartlett Wotman is a self-taught artist. For about 15 years, she has been painting using oils as her medium as well as some arcrylics on canvas. Carolynn discovered “landscape” oil painting in her early years and has recently discovered the land of “Abstract” oil painting. Becoming an artist has been a life-long desire for Carolynn.
What she wishes to accomplish with Abstract painting, is to have people see in her art the warmth of colors and the value of art in that it is more than what you see; it is what you feel when you look at any piece. One of her favorite quotes is: “With each paint stroke there is a new direction of discovery”. There is also the amazement to Carolynn that each paint stroke is quite litterally a feeling, an emotion.
Carolynn would like everyone who looks at her art and any other art, to know that each painting carries color and emotions on every canvas.
