Art and Architecture have always played an important role in my life. I hold a BS in Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington and I am a partner in the architectural firm of Mainstreet Architects + Planners in Downtown Ventura. While I have worked in the media of watercolor and oils, my current passion for expression lies in ceramics. As an Architect, space and form play an important role in everything I design: my ability to conceptualize three-dimensionally allows the freedom to give spatial form to clay. As an Artist, creating form absent of the constraints of building codes and the pragmatic side of architecture allows for a purer realization of concepts and personal expression. The relationship of art and architecture has always been the focus of my life as a practitioner in both fields. The similarities and differences in these disciplines have allowed me to explore a rich world of possibilities.
