Bio for Julie Palmer
Julie Palmer grew up in New York. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Julie made her living as a graphic artist and textiles designer with The Gap, Warner Bros. and Disney before founding her own studio, Ed & Henry Design, in Ventura. As a working artist, she has been a member of the Art Students League, the Pastel Society and the Cartoonist Guild, and participated in various group shows in Los Angeles, Denver, Philadelphia and New York City. New York magazine featured one of her paintings in its coverage of the Dysfunctional Art installation at The Franklin Furnace Gallery, NYC in 1995. Before landing at last in Ventura, Julie lived in L.A., Santa Fé, New Orleans, Florida and Brooklyn. Her work portrays the multitude of characters that live in her head.
