Biography

 

Lynn LeTourneau is a contemporary painter, printmaker and figurative sculptor.  In two-dimensional work her style is abstract, energetic and colorful diving into the essence of life on an archetypal level. Her sculpture is emotional, textural and reveals depth in her subjects.  Lynn attended the Boston Museum School and studied with Bela Basci an internationally known sculptor.  She paints predominately in oils and enjoys working in layers to add history and  depth to each piece.  Lynn uses several printmaking techniques such as collagraph, dry point, chine colle and monotype.  She is a member of the Santa Barbara Printmakers and uses the Inkspots of San Buenaventura press.

Lynn LeTourneau is a juried member of the Ventura County Potter’s Guild and the Santa Barbara Art Association. Her work can be found in galleries in Ventura and Santa Barbara and is enjoyed in collections throughout the United States. Many of her sculptures were included in the independent film, “In the Wake”, which has been viewed internationally.

She presently paints at the Bell Arts Studios #84.
