Ann White I draw from nature for many of my decorating ideas and porcelain is the perfect canvas. I use simple clean decorating techniques and like to make pieces that are functional as well as visually pleasing. I’m a native Venturan and learned to make pottery by taking classes at Ventura College from Jim Danisch. That was many years ago, and being a potter has been rewarding personally and professionally, my whole life. I moved my studio to New York and had the pleasure of exploring and experiencing the East Coast while selling my pottery in wonderful arts & crafts shows, not to mention, I also met and married the love of my life. After a few years’ hiatus, raising children and relocating back to Ventura, I’m back in the studio having more fun than ever. The impact pottery has had on my life is immeasurable and I hope the joy and pleasure I receive from it shows in my work.
