The children in our youth program have been studying about the natural flora of southern California and celebrating Georgia O’Keeffe, an artist known for her depictions of flowers. In her art, Georgia liked the idea of expressing herself through using line, color and shading in a harmonious way. “Colors and shapes make a more definite statement than words.” Many of her paintings were produced by looking closely and imaginatively at the world.
Some of the art projects our youth art program has created are painted flowers, clay flowers and mixed media flowers.
The children will also be selling some of their art work. Please join us in the community room.

You have helped us continue bringing our community together through the arts, in spite of the countless difficulties brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Aided by the generosity of our donors, our most important arts programs successfully pivoted to virtual events, exhibitions, and classes, allowing us to provide kids in our neighborhoods access to the arts through virtual Zoom programs like Creando en Casa con Bell Arts Factory. Will you make a monthly contribution of $10 to Bell Arts Factory and keep Ventura filled with art, dance, music, and culture?
