Looking back, hindsight is… 2020

Looking back, hindsight is... 2020

by Iriany Sánchez

It started out like any other year.

A year of being on the go, 24/7.

First Fridays, Classes, Community events and Live Art Exhibits.

Gigi, welcoming all to Bell Arts Factory.

But then things took a turn…

You did it all from home.

Zoom Art Classes in both English and Spanish.

But you made the most of it.

A year of tapping into your creative side.

Kids from our community created great Art as part of

Bell Arts Factory’s Virtual Art classes,

including a window installation:

Art gives you wings.

A year of flexing green thumbs.

Antonella and other kids from our community created their own planters.
We also received a beautiful donation, our first nopal for the cactus garden.

A year of embracing more outdoor adventures.

Bell Arts Factory Artists worked together with the community creating great projects like Point of Intersection / Punto de Intersección that have inspired us to continue and promote in the future.

A year of embracing everything VIRTUAL !

Virtual Art Exhibits from the Tool Room Gallery via Instagram LIVE
GAUVIN: A retrospective
Artists celebrated their Cultural Heritage
We felt the Magic of the Day of the Dead
Artists opened their studios for Virtual First Fridays

And through it all, 2020 was still full of love.

A year of friends and family, no matter the distance.

A year of…

Ups and Downs

Highs and Lows

and a whole lot of surprises in between.

Bring it on 2021!

As 2020 comes to a close all of us at Bell Arts Factory would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our dedicated, steadfast supporters. You have helped us continue bringing our community together through the arts, in spite of the countless difficulties brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aided by the generosity of our donors, our most important arts programs successfully pivoted to virtual events, exhibitions, and classes, allowing us to provide kids in our neighborhoods access to the arts through virtual Zoom programs like Creando en Casa.

With your help, we can come out stronger than ever in 2021!

Will you make

a monthly contribution of

$5

to Bell Arts Factory

and keep Ventura filled with art, dance, music, and culture?

Yes, I’ll help!
