First Friday April 18 2020 Stay-at-home Edition

First Friday on May 1, 2020

We missed you in April! To make up for it, Bell Arts Factory will be hosting a special #StayAtHome Edition for the First Friday on May 1, 2020 from 6:00 to 7:30. This special, online event will feature virtual exhibits, performances and more from Bell Arts Factory artists and special guests.

This is your chance to see what the Ventura arts community has been up to during the COVID-19 lockdown. Also, this is a great time to display some of your new work. Or, drop-in and say hello to friends during this time of social distancing. It may not be exactly like First Friday, but we are going to do our best to get close!

Want to exhibit, perform, or showcase? RSVP link here

Artists, poets, dancers, musicians and others are all welcome to showcase their work with us! Tell us about what you’d like to do in the RSVP form here and we’ll schedule a time slot.

Here are a few ideas for the #StayAtHome First Friday:

  • Share a short video/Slide show of your work
  • Perform a song, read a poem or part of a play, or dance
  • Zoom Performance Art (family friendly please)
  • Beat Battle
  • A tour of the you quarantine studio
  • Showcase of art you have created with links to purchase
  • Create something on the fly

Here’s an example of one type of exhibit/showcase:

Please RSVP here. An RSVP will get you the Zoom link and give you the form to complete if you want to exhibit. This special First Friday event will be hosted on Zoom and broadcasted live on our Facebook page.

And don’t forget to pick up some take out from one of the Ventura Avenue restaurants. This is a must for that true First Friday experience.

We’ll see you on the virtual Ventura Avenue!
